CHORD BUS — the glue chain
==========================
Order matters. Everything below uses stock plugins in Cubase, FL Studio and Ableton.

1. High-pass filter      120 Hz, 12 dB/oct   (clears room for the bass)
2. Subtractive EQ -2 dB bell at 3 kHz, Q 1.2 (stops the harshness)
                         +1 dB shelf at 10 kHz (air, only after the cut)
3. Glue compressor ratio 2:1, attack 30 ms, release auto, 1-2 dB gain reduction
4. Saturation (light) tape or tube, 5-10% drive, output matched
5. Send 25% to the short plate reverb (never an insert)

Cubase: StudioEQ -> Compressor -> Magneto II, FX channel with REVerence.
FL Studio: Fruity Parametric EQ 2 -> Fruity Limiter (COMP tab) -> Fruity Reeverb 2 on a send.
Ableton: EQ Eight -> Glue Compressor -> Saturator, Reverb on Return A.
